mpowerment Technologies (E-Tech) ICT for professional track one of a subject that is very helpful for me as a student. It is very useful in my everyday life. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) deals with the use of different communication technologies such as mobile phones, telephone, internet, etc.. to locate, save, send and edit information. When our teacher first introduced the topic that we are going to tackle, it was all about the different web pages. I taught it was difficult but as the discussion goes by, I learned a lot. I enjoy learning, every discussion and this word I sometimes utter “ Ahh. Mao diay na” “ Ahh.. ing-na diay”. This web pages refers to web 1.0. web 2.0 and web 3.0. But only the web 2.0 and web 3.o we tackled the most. As the discussion goes by I already know and learned that web 2.0 is the evolution of web 1.0 by adding dynamic web pages- the user is able to see a website differently to others. It is a term coined by Darci di Nucci on January 1999. This web 2.0 has different key features (folksonomy, rich user experience, user participation, long tail, software as a service and mass participation) and its meaning and example. On the other hand, according to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) semantic web provides common framework that allows data to be shared and reused across application, enterprise and community boundaries.  And the term was coined by the inventor of the World Wide Web Tim Berners Lee. He noticed that semantic web is a component of web 3.0. But this web is not yet fully recognized because of several problems like compatibility, security, vagueness, logic and vastness. I feel lucky when I knew it. In addition, there were different trends in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). These are the convergence, social media, mobile technologies/devices with its operating system, and the assistive media. Did you know that because of this subject I already have an account of twitter and g-mail.    

       I got an additional learning about Information and Communication Technology that were very useful and helpful for me nowadays

 am happy that  Empoerment Technologies is one of the our subject. Because I think that I need to be active or know its purpose, what is the background subject I know or identify that Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is not just talk about the computer but also it is the technologies that people use to communicate with. I learn a lot of things that I didn’t know before or now. And I know that the Philippines is the ICT Hub the Asia. I got some information about the subject and how it help us people to know what is the position or stand of ICT here in our country nowadays.. How it gives a big impact and contributions now. It helps people to easily get job and way to communicate other people in far places. By this, our country is much more aware in terms of using this. Through this we can identify or even make some reaction in the problem in the community. This is my first time that I know that there are different types of web pages. Like static webpage also known as flat page or stationary pages that cannot be manipulated by any users. As the time passes by this webpage was being evolved into a dynamic webpage it can be manipulated by the user , they can do whatever they wanted in the page. But nowadays there is a webpage that people use. Here in the Philippines not all are able to use it but some are engaging it. I know different types of social media .Also help people in the society to be aware. In addition we should know the operating system of our gadgets and personal technologies.
